For this video we were tasked with creating various pyramids with different techniques. We created pyramids using 4 ways, the first was creating a cube and taking away 3 vertices from the top of the cube to create a very smooth pyramid with very little detail.
The second way that we created a cube was by creating a cube, enlarging it and the making it thinner, this created the base of the pyramid, from there we duplicated that cube then made it smaller then stacked it on top of the previous cube. This gave is more detail that the previous although it still was not as realistic as we could get.
The third way of creating a pyramid was using the array modifier, i used 2 separate array modifiers one for the x and one for the y. I then duplicated it, shortened the number of the array to make it smaller so when i stacked them it looked like a pyramid.
The fourth and final way of creating a pyramid was using a more advanced method. I created a small cube and parented it with the first pyramid i created, i then chose the first pyramid and chose to duplicate the vertices, this was applied to the small cube so small cubes duplicated where the verts are on the pyramid. I would then subdivide the pyramid to create more verts for the small cube to duplicate at. This created a good looking pyramid that looked more realistic then the rest even without textures.
